How is Inner Web Flow Yoga Different From Other Yoga Studios?

Our instructors educate each class on how to scientifically change their body structures from the John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Approach® throughout each session. Each yoga class benefits from how to regulate their nervous systems, as well as change their body’s fascia down to the cellular level. Similar to experiencing a hands-on MFR session, throughout each yoga class the connective tissues soften from gentle held pressure, to relieve pain for authentic healing throughout all different poses and mobilizations.

This process takes time because the fascial system cannot be forced. Students will feel the changes in their bodies and in their pain. They’ll move more freely, relax and refresh their minds and nervous systems, lessen ad improve their experience of pain, and enjoy life more.

This class is the application of being an active participant in the healing process.

Self-treatment is taught to every student for their specific needs to enhance the changes and pain relief achieved in the classes. Students heal faster and learn to self-manage their pain outside of the studio, and in some cases, helping in avoiding the need for surgeries, medications, and injections.

Each class is different because every students bodies show up different each time. Your fascia, your history, and your healing journey are uniquely yours, and we plan our fascial mobilizations accordingly.

Why does it matter to learn how to use Fascia correctly?

You may not be able to reach or stoop as far as you once could. Walking might be limited by pain. Running or biking could be impossible. Playing with your children or grandchildren may be hard to do.

Fascia has a huge role in this. It’s a mobile connective tissue that surrounds and penetrates all muscles, bones, nerves, blood vessels, and organs of the body all the way to the cellular level. It literally extends as a three-dimensional web of fibers throughout the body from the top of your head to your toes.

It is essential to every body movement, organ, and cell function.‍ ‍

Fascia becomes restricted or bound up by inflammation, surgeries, accidents, injuries, repeated motions, birth defects, daily activities, and poor posture.

Fascial restrictions can cause limited and painful movement or disease.

How Fascial Restrictions Affect Your Practice

Limited Movement

Difficulty stretching, supporting other muscles, walking, reaching, and stooping that worsens over time.

Student Education

Each class provides fascial education along with mobilization.

At Starr MFR we believe that the power of healing lies with each student. When they know how to intelligently apply pain reduction techniques according to the pain they experience, it puts the choice of how to manage their pain back into their own hands without having to ask for information from others.

Chronic Pain

Being in pain can cross over into having fears of not being able to move, stretch, or be active comfortably, ultimately giving up the things you love.

Student Empowerment

Leave every class with confidence that you can continue your practice at home without help or supervision.

The body is an interconnected system, and our classes show students that they can make a difference in their health and goals, with or without guidance.

Impaired Function

Organ, bone, and muscle dysfunction caused by pressure from compressed fascial tissue will get in the way of stretching and being independently mobile.
