Absolutely! Our purpose is to help you get back to the life you want. At Starr MFR, we accept self-pay or out of network insurance (if your plan allows).

Appointments can be accessed using our online scheduling or by calling our office at (614)594-2400 Ext. 2!

No; Ohio allows for direct access to physical therapy without a physicians prescription. We will send your Plan of Care to your physician after your initial examination.

Patients with Medicare should bring a physician prescription/referral to the initial exam.

Patients with out-of-network insurance benefits should check with their plan prior to their initial visit.

Please bring valid identification, insurance card (for physician referral visits only) and completed new patient forms (we send these to you ahead of time). If you wish to fill out the patient forms in office, please arrive 20 minutes early to your appointment.

Please bring or wear comfortable, loose clothing.

For your first appointment expect to come a few minutes early to fill out your new patient forms. After they’re filled out and turned into the front desk Dr. Starr will take you back for your appointment. You will go over your medical history as well as any new progressions of your symptoms since you’d scheduled the appointment. Dr. Starr will then start his one on one treatment where he’ll look at how your body is aligned, and look at the different sources of pain, and then discuss with you which areas need to be addressed (whether it’s places you’d expect or not expect). He will then start using the John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Approach technique to treat you with. See our patient reviews and testimonies to see how their sessions over time turned out!

Yes! The important thing to know is that the yoga curriculum includes education on the fascial system, and the yoga program our instructors instruct are to enhance bodily fascial mobility. You do not need to be a current patient of Dr. Starr to join a class, but you will be learning about your fascial system.

Yes Intensive Appointments (multiple cumulative appointments in a day or throughout a week) are provided here. Call or email us to schedule these appointments to discuss the amount of hours, the days, and lodging.
